Whether you're on a strict all-organic diet or simply prefer to choose organic on certain products when you're able, choosing products that fit your criteria can be tricky— especially when it comes to animal byproducts.
So, we're here to break it down for you in the most simple of terms: What makes our Organic eggs Organic? Glad you asked!
At Happy Egg specifically, the health and happiness of our hens always comes first. (Hence why we call them "Happy Eggs"). To be a Certified Organic farm means that our Organic farms maintain year-round living conditions that promote the health, beauty, and natural behaviors of our birds—like giving them access to the outdoors for 8+ hours a day, a steady flow of fresh water, and access to shade and shelter. They also uphold the highest standards in terms of being pesticide and herbicide-free.
The birds in our Organic flocks, however, are given a premium feed with ingredients from grain farms that themselves are also organic. This is what earns them the Certified USDA Organic seal you see on the carton.
And, that's it. No gimmicks, no tricks. That's what makes an Organic egg Organic.
Questions? We'd love to hear from you! Our Consumer Happiness team are kind of eggsperts at this sort of thing.
