What Is Vietnamese Egg Coffee?

Vietnamese Egg Coffee is a creamy coffee drink that combines bold Vietnamese coffee with a whipped topping made from egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, and sugar. It’s basically the most velvety, dessert-like coffee you’ve ever tasted! 

Don’t have Vietnamese coffee? Don’t worry! You can also make it with strong brewed coffee or espresso!

 

Ingredients

  • Strong brewed coffee or espresso  

  • 2 Happy Egg yolks  

  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk  

  • 1 tsp sugar  

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)  



How to Make Egg Coffee

  1. Brew the Coffee: Brew a cup of coffee or make an espresso and set aside. 

  2. Whip the Egg Topping: In a bowl, whisk together the Happy Egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and vanilla (if using) until those orange yolks are thick, creamy, and frothy.

  3. Assemble the Coffee: Pour your freshly brewed coffee into a cup, then gently spoon the whipped egg topping over the top. The creamy foam should float to the top of your coffee - how gorgeous is that?!  

  4. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with cocoa powder or cinnamon for an extra touch of flavor and enjoy!
